University Preparation
AYP-15 (15 hrs p/week)

Hours per week including breaks: 15

Required language level: upper intermediate or above

Minimum Enrolment: 12 weeks

The course consists of 15 hours per week of specialised university preparation. In addition to this, students are expected to spend considerable time on research and homework tasks; this is therefore
a particularly intensive course, suited to serious students. The purpose of this course is to familiarise students with the nature and characteristics of first-year academic programmes at British universities.

The course aims to develop students' academic study skills, self-directed study techniques and to upgrade their language skills to a level of proficiency which will enable them to participate effectively in undergraduate studies in the UK. The course includes English language training, cross-cultural studies, and learner training. The University Preparation course is made up of three 12-week modules which increase in complexity. Students also spend time preparing for the IELTS exam which is necessary for entry into a British university.
